5 treatments down, one more to go! I wish I could report it get's easier. It seems like there is a new side effect or downside to each round. After the 4th chemo, I missed my period. Maybe TMI, sorry. Anyway, with the loss of my bedroom eyes and eyebrows, there's no chance of conception so this is what they call: "chemopause." Sounds like a bonus right? Not really. I now get to experience random hot flashes and even more mood swings. I toss and turn at night so much that my poor husband has a permanent bed on the sofa.
My Dr. prescribed a low dose Venlafaxine (Effexor), but after taking it for two days I realized it was really adding to my nausea. It did make the flashes subside, but the nausea was not a favorable trade-off. So for now, I think I'll just sweat it out :)
